11.1 - Introduction to embedded clauses
Embedded clauses with a finite verb form are in Anawanda very similar to coordinated main clauses. In fact, the syntactic structure of matrix and embedded clauses is the same, and the governed clause itself is always placed outside the main clause, either after or before.

As to the semantics, there are three kinds of embedded clauses: the declarative, the relative and the subjunctive-hypothetical. They will be covered in the following paragraphs.
