1.4 - Length and secondary stress
The following rules do not apply to high tone words (see paragraph 1.3), which properly have no seat of the stress.
Stressed vowels are usually lenghtened, except in word final position. When the seat of the stress falls prior to the antepenultimate syllable, the penultimate syllable gets a secondary stress, realised with mid or high pitch, but no lenghtening.
