Arden has a number of impersonal verbs, mainly but not exclusively referring to the time and weather conditions.
These verbs are treated in all respects as if they were intransitives, except that no overt subject NP may appear with them and the mandatory subject cross-referencing is limited to the third person singular clitic pronoun.
Further details need be examined, for example whether metaphorical subjects may be added (like in "It was raining arrows") and, if yes, how.
