Peripheral Case Marking

The possessor is encoded in the genitive case, which is also employed for generical noun to noun modification and for the equivalent of adjectives. Whenever a noun has an attached genitive complement, it must take a cross-referencing clitic pronoun.

Location in space and time is generally encoded in the simple locative. The locative is also used for the complement of limitation in connection to a noun being used as an adjective or as an adverb.

More functions and several shades of meaning are encoded as a secondary case layer (through postpositions) and/or through the relator nouns.
