A short introduction to glossopoiesis

9. A secret no longer so secret

We took a glimpse at the amazing secret of linguistic creation. And we have been introduced to many kinds of conlangs: game languages, auxiliary languages, fictional languages, scale model languages, philosophical and logic languages and artistic languages. So what's next?

The first consideration is that the categories above are by no way exhaustive. There are further specifications, and many marginal genres have been ignored in this presentation. Most important, many constructed languages share the properties of more than one genre, so that a precise classification would require a multidimensional map (as was first suggested by Claudio T. Gnoli).

The second consideration is that there is an enormous and varied corpus of constructed languages. Authors are becoming less and less shy, and the number of online resources grows day by day. Their works, surely of different appeal and different worth, may have some value for you: be it litterary, philanthropical, philosophical, scientific, aesthetic or just recreational.

And they are all waiting for an attentive and sensitive audience.
