7.5 - Verb agreement

Persons are eight: the usual 1st, 2nd and 3rd, both singular and plural, plus 3rd person dual and the impersonal. The latter is employed for processes (with the so-called impersonal verbs) and whenever the speaker cannot - or doesn't want to - name the subject. Together with the topicalisation of the object, the impersonal provides for a sort of passive construction.

Save for the imperative and for the few impersonal verbs, each verb form has a complete paradigm of persons. The imperative only combines with 2nd person singular and the impersonal, which supplements for the all lacking persons. The injunctive is also an option for them.
