Arden words display vowel harmony along the front/back dimension. All of the vowels in a word are either front or back, and this also applies to the four diphthongs. The vowel A is neutral and may appear in both front and back words.
Vowel harmony is left-to-right, and its domain is the morphological word (stem and suffixes) plus any attached clitic.
